We provide short, medium and long term community placements for persons ages 0 – 18 years living with developmental disabilities, persons at risk or with traumatic background so they could heal from past trauma and also develop necessary skills to become meaningful adults in the future. Our main mission is to Nurture healing, dignity, and growth for children and youth through trauma-informed, client-centered care.
Our Approach
Rosebush Care Inc. utilizes a blend of primary practice models to ensure that the children, youth, and family members, served through the program, are respected, involved and are offered the greatest potential for learning and applying their new-found skills. This program combines a client-centered approach with a well-received Trauma-Informed Care practice.Sub link under our approach – Learn more – Creating Safety, Stability and Nurturing.
Trauma-Informed Care
At Rosebush Care Inc. we make use of the Trauma-Informed Care approach to guide our organization with the understanding that all individuals have certain experiences that form their responses to the world around them. Rosebush Care Inc. incorporates the Trauma-Informed Care approach, engaging people with histories of trauma, recognizing the presence of trauma symptoms, and acknowledges the role that trauma has played, and perhaps is still playing in their lives (NCTIC, 2013).
Client-Centeredness Approach
Rosebush employs a client-centered philosophy and approach which demonstrates empathy through its provision of care, and we are respectful of the client’s right to self-determination. Through this services are delivered where individuals are provided with choices within their unique circumstances and the scope of their abilities Their wishes are taken into consideration and their consent, or dissent is fully respected. Through this philosophy, clients are viewed and treated within the context of “the whole person” as opposed to behavior, personality, physical or mental limitations or inabilities.
The Strength of Dignity
Rosebush Care Inc. believes that all individuals, regardless of ability or circumstance, have unique values, personalities, histories, and goals. Equally, all individuals, regardless of ability or circumstance, have an equal right to participate fully in their lives, be honored for their personal thoughts and ideas and to be treated with inherent dignity and respect. We firmly believe that a strong sense of dignity is the foundation of our strength in every area of life!
Safe and Secure Living Homes
Our homes provide individuals with secure and safe living environments which are based on trauma informed practices, client centeredness, as well as milieu-based therapy, guided by strength-based approaches.
